Happy Space is looking to expand!

We are looking for some new additions to our Happy Space family! We are currently on the hunt for a new PR Manager, Finance Manager and Social Media Manager. Please read below for further information about these roles. Though, if you have other skills or experience that you think Happy Space might be missing outside of these described roles, do get in touch too! We would love to hear from you.

Background

Happy Space is a preventative mental wellbeing charity helping students ask and answer the question, "Why don't I feel ok"? Run entirely by volunteers, we provide engaging content via our guidebooks and talks, foster partnerships and host events to enable students to reach their own Happy Space.

Happy Space has undertaken research and interviewed wellbeing professionals, academics and university wellbeing services. We learned that there are some aspects of everyday living that can prove crucial to the prevention of student mental health issues. These aspects seemed to repeatedly fall into the categories of “food”, “finance”, “mind”, “body” and “art” and we use these five key topics as a framework for our student Guidebooks. Additionally, each talk Happy Space gives to schools, amongst other things, provides a mental wellbeing checklist, which sets out top tips centring around these five key topics.

The Guidebook comprises of thoughtful and relevant content from a variety of truly fantastic contributors. The response to our first Guidebook has been overwhelmingly positive – we even managed to KickStart the Guidebook to the tune of £2600! Additionally, we work alongside schools to create tailor-made guidebooks for their students using personalised and interactive pages to engage students even further.
